>> St. Paul's old jazz club, The Artist's Quarter, will next Tuesday officially become Vieux Carré, St. Paul's new jazz club. The kids behind The Dakota have done a little work on it, including adding a kitchen and spiffing the place up a bit, but not too much (which is how we like it).
>> The spot that was once Terra Waconia is now Iron Tap, a craft beer and casual dining joint that includes a rooftop dining patio and 30 taps, plus in-house smoked meats.
>> Borough is opening for lunch. They're kicking it off next week during Restaurant Week so pop in and give it a two-course shot for $20. Go chilled beet soup and cavatelli with smoked chicken and taleggio.

>> Down in Lakeville, that gorgeous copper-wrapped behemoth of a restaurant that last held Copper River Fish & Chop, is empty once again.
>> If you enjoyed the last few days of Sapor, particularly the Project BBQ menus and dishes, you'll be happy to hear that chef Noah Miller and Toph Heubach from the restaurant intend to carry on by launching Bark and the Bite food truck. Smoked Meats and Southern Eats is the slogan. Let's Kickstart that bidness.
>> Here's a chance to make the decision about Minnesota wines for yourself. On Saturday, the MN Grape Growers Association will host a Summer Wine Festival at West End. Your $30 ticket gets you sips from more than 20 local wineries. You'll also be able to buy bottles on the spot, and both Crave and The Loop will waive any corkage fees if you decide to bring it in and have it with a snack.

>> Let's get some French ON! Bastille Day is happening all over the towns this year. Saturday, hit the party in downtown St. Paul with live music (The New Standards, yo), Meritage crépes, a real mime and after party at the new Vieux Carre. Or save it for Sunday when Barbette does its thing with tons of live music, street performers, and cake.
>> One of the most beautiful nights among the flora and fauna, comes with the Arboretum's Taste & Toast in the Garden, happening next Wednesday the 15th. Lots of local wineries, breweries, and city slickin' restaurants show up to support the Arb: Spoon & Stable, The Rabbit Hole, Lucia's, and The Strip Club Meat & Fish to name a few.
