There's a new kosher deli in town. Prime Deli is open in St. Louis Park serving all kosher lunch and dinner. There's a modern spin to both the space and the plating, but you'll still find knishes and matzo ball soup among the flat iron steak frites and schnitzel sandwiches.

It's the annual Global Soup Cook-Off on Saturday from 12-2 p.m. Throw in a $3+ donation (be a champ, thrown in $5) and you get to wander the warm and wonderful market and sample special soups prepared by the many international vendors and then vote for your favorite. The vendors are quite competitive about this contest, Manny of Manny's Tortas is prepared to sabotage someone, I'm sure.

Borough is celebrating its 2nd anniversary on Sunday with a special three-course dinner for $30 per person from chef Drew Yancey. It should also be noted that, for the first time, the legendary and spectacular Parlour Bar burger will be available in the upstairs restaurant. Tally ho. Also, sibling Coup d'Etat will celebrate its first anniversary on January 22 with a little party that includes complimentary appetizers from 5-6 p.m. and live music at 10 p.m. Party!
