Sandwich at Libertine
With the launch of Libertine in the old Cafeteria space in Uptown, Parasole has put James Beard Award winner Tim McKee front and center. He’s been with the company as VP of culinary for a few years, but this marks the first concept that is a McKee project from soup to nuts. It’s a sophisticated, modern revamp with lots of wood and industrial accents. The bar is front and center in what is basically an upscale gastropub where meat is the star. Alternative cuts (such as bacon chop and lamb saddle) and innovative dishes like this beef bacon BLT are priced and flavored for the neighborhood of cocktail drinkers and apartment dwellers, making this a chophouse for the selfie set.
