Libertine opened last night in the space formerly known as Cafeteria in Uptown. They've given it a modern vibe that includes a comfortable loungey area which could be in your coolest friend's apartment, and communal tables that join to the street-side windows which still open wide. The bar sits center-stage and they've closed up the open kitchen with some funky wallpaper. You've seen the menus, now pop in for some oysters and maybe a shot of bourbon down a bone marrow luge.
Above: The lounge.
Look closely at some of the wall art.
Private dining in the back, about 50 seats that can be completely closed off.
The new entry way is on the corner, look for the red door.
