Eat your Brussels sprouts was a phrase most of us loathed as children. Oh sure, there are those of you who will say you have always loved ‘em—you’re lying! My mom is a great cook but not with Brussels sprouts. Growing up, they were always army green and bitter with full cabbage flavor (Sorry, Mom!). I cook Brussels sprouts for a lot of people, and most of time before my guests have eaten my version, at least one of them will say, “God, I hate Brussels sprouts.
