I assume everyone needs a reservation somewhere hip for Valentine's Day this year how about this joint in Toronto? Why can’t a local eatery run a promotion like this? There might be technical issues that conflict with our Minnesota Nice service protocol .if there is a rush for the facilities, assuming 40 or 50 couples are in the place (hopefully some will use the John in threes and fours!) won't there be a long line? And what if your food comes to your table while you are occupied in the bathroom? Won't it get cold? When I was working in restaurants we used to find people all the time enjoying their sexual escapades in our bathrooms, private rooms, under tables, and so on It also happened to me when I was with kids and grandparents, and the drunk couple in the booth next to us stared getting it on.
April is right around the corner and I was chatting with a friend yesterday about his impending Twin Cities visit and made a note to myself to tell you to go get tickets now for a must-see presentation of his at the State Theatre and no, its not to go see The Neelys on the 16th and no, once TB’s show sells out I can’t get you tickets. I think the Living Legends series at the State Theatre is a great one, and I enjoy the trend of seeing all sorts of lecturers and performers onstage, from all walks of life but who in their right mind would pay dough to see the Neelys? That’s a shocker. I would gladly line up to see any of a dozen other TV chef types do their thing on stage. Sounds fun. But the Neelys? Anyone planning on going? If so, please help me understand this?
Not even close, best thing I have eaten in 2010 was the homemade corned beef we had for the Super Bowl. Brined, braised, then cooled in braising juices, then marinated overnight in coarse mustard and maple syrup and roasted until it was glazed. We sliced it and put it on toasted dollar buns with kraut and Russian dressing. By the time I thought to take a pic for you, they were gone. I am hungry just thinking about it.
