Jayne Haugen Olson

Jayne Haugen Olson is Mpls.St.Paul's senior editor responsible for home, retail, and lifestyle features. She is a frequent contributor to local radio and television programs on these and other trend topics. Jayne grew up in Roseville and majored in journalism at the University of St. Thomas. Prior to joining the editorial staff in 2000, she held marketing positions with Braun’s Fashions, Calhoun Square, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, and Tiger Oak Publications. Volunteer work has included serving on the board for DIFFA and cofounding the Magic 8 Ball party; she is a current Ordway Circle of Stars board member. She’s a bit of a pop culture junkie, reads far too many magazines, and has a weakness for shade plants, estate sales, and rock concerts. She and her husband, Curt, live in a nearly 100-year-old home in Minneapolis with their one-year-old twin daughters and two cats.
