It’s been nearly a year since his three-day residency just down the road at the Orpheum, and now Minnesota’s favorite troubadour son has made yet another triumphant return to Hennepin Avenue. Only this time, instead of effervescing his distinct brand of world-weary, nonchalant charm in person, Bob Dylan’s taking the stage in a more omnipresent way: as a towering mural. Designed by Brazilian mural artist Eduardo Kobra, the colorful triptych, commissioned by the owners of the building via the Hennepin Theatre Trust, is at once hyperrealistic, hyper geometric, and hyper befitting the most singular Minnesota musician not named Prince. You can’t miss it on the corner of Hennepin Avenue and Fifth Street.
