The Pillsbury sign in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Pillsbury A Mill’s Mississippi-facing sign came down in 2014 as part of the building’s conversion to artist lofts. When Dominium Apartments’ restoration of the National Historic Landmark ended in October, the rehabbed sign was painstakingly reinstalled one hulking steel letter (150-plus pounds and 6- to 11-feet tall) at a time. The 70-plus-year-old sign’s new LED lights officially debuted in November.
