Who: American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) members and friends of International Market Square
What: The 2010 ASID Awards and the 25th birthday of International Market Square Where: International Market Square, Minneapolis
When: November 11, 2010
Why: To recognize and celebrate great design and all the talented people who make it possible.
On this fine autumn evening, two days before the snow arrived, International Market Square was aglow as top Twin Cities interior designers, architects, design professionals, and friends turned out to celebrate the 25th birthday of the iconic IMS building and the 2010 American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) annual awards. It’s just so trite to say things such as, “Hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since IMS opened,” and “Can you believe that winter’s already here?” so I won’t say either. It’s far more exciting to note that IMS is still gorgeous (especially at night) and still buzzing with creative energy.
A big shout-out goes to the ASID Awards Gala Event Committee for masterminding a spectacular evening: co-hairs Maureen Haggerty and Nancy Nelsen-Flom, and committee members Lisa Ball, Bud Cleator, Charlie Flynn, Bonnie Folkerts, Ashley Hoffman, Kim Kangas, Nancy Kloehn, Katherine Larson, Tim Mohnkern, Amber Ranzau, and Heather Zappo, and the fabulous and unflappable Tabitha Czech.
Nearly 400 guests enjoyed cocktails and bite-sized servings of the hottest industry dish while checking out the awards entries apr
