Paper Hat

Most every item is made by an independent local artisan at this south Minneapolis shop

The store is called Paper Hat because there's no wrong way to make one, says Greta Norlander, who has taken over the former Inizio space at 50th & Penn in south Minneapolis. That's the approach she takes to merchandising her warm shop, where most every item is made by an independent artisan. Highlights include jewelry, accessories for home and wear, and decorative art. "We believe that things made by hand are an extension of the maker, reads Norlander's mission statement. "The flaws are part of the perfection. The individuality shines through. 2309 W. 50th St., Mpls., 612-886-3892, www.paperhatco.com
