From local bike maker Handsome Cycles comes a high-design store that turns city cycling into a fashion movement. Ben Morrison and Jesse Erickson started Handsome Cycles five years ago and sell their classically styled bikes around the country, including One on One Bike Studio in Minneapolis. When the space next door became available, Handsome partnered with One on One to create a shop where the look gets equal footing with the ride. “A lot of people want to ride bikes and not look like they’re trying to win a race,” Erickson says. That’s especially true in Minnesota, where, according to the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota, a full half of the population has pedaled a bicycle in the past year. Now we can all look a little more handsome on two wheels.

Smooth summer. Chafing is a buzzkill for a cyclist. Try this soothing shea butter balm, which moisturizes while stimulating circulation.
