Shooting Star Casino

Gambling reels guests in, but the customer service is what keeps ’em coming back.

Gambling reels guests in, but the customer service is what keeps ’em coming back. “Casinos should work on creating a more personalized experience for their customers,” says marketing director Bill Marsh. “Not only through the overall treatment, but through engaging amenities that draw us in on our leisure time, such as movie theaters, shopping, and getting that favorite cup of coffee.” That’s the case with Shooting Star Casino.

The gaming floor features slot machines, blackjack and poker tables, plus a bingo hall.

A 1,500-seat concert venue hosts legendary performers on a regular basis, but if you want to branch out from the casino, there are plenty of options. Play a round of golf at the Mahnomen Country Club or grab a pole and experience some of the best fishing around on one of White Earth Reservation’s 530 lakes.

In addition to full-service catering and cocktails throughout Shooting Star, you have your pick of four restaurants: 2 ONE 8 (fine dining), Whispering Winds (casual fare), Delight’s Deli, and the Traditions Buffet. There’s also the Mustang Lounge when you need a frosty one to celebrate your gambling winnings.

After a day of gaming, kick back and order room service in one of Shooting Star’s 386 rooms and suites. All rooms allow for easy access to the pool and casino floor. Weekend rates start at $89 per night, and weekday rates start at $79 ($49 for Star Rewards members).
