Day 65: Gone Fishing

Cast off dockside in a neighborhood park’s well-stocked lake.

Powderhorn Lake
While you’re wandering around the Powderhorn Art Fair on a hot summer day, it’s easy to forget about the other family focused attraction in the massive neighborhood park. At 11 acres wide and 24 feet deep, Powderhorn Lake is sometimes home to Minne the Lake Creature, but always welcoming to fisherman out for a languid day casting off the dock. Bluegills, largemouth bass, and black crappie hide under the depths. 3400 15th Ave. S., Mpls., 612-370-4960, minneapolisparks.org
