The Products

We're loving these paints, couches, chairs—even candles. The latest trends are all right here.

Swan Architecture

Andrea Swan is an odd duck in the Twin Cities architecture scene. “Most architects here went to the U and there’s a buddy system—I’m just not part of it,” she says. Being a graduate of the University of Notre Dame's School of Architecture, Swan's training focused on Renaissance tradition. She worked in Italy during her studies and is now filling her office with more Notre Dame graduates—mostly women—who in an age of CAD drawings are still creating watercolor renderings for their clients. With Swan signs popping up in front yards all over the state, we’re starting to see more of that Old World architecture in addition to her modern Scandinavian stripped-down style. As she tests the waters of demand, asking herself “just what level of classical” her Minnesota clients really want, Swan’s keeping busy fusing a few favorite styles into a new home for her growing family.

Bold Floors

Decorative painter Crista Bartholomew, owner of Crista Maree, floored us (sorry, it’s true) with her craft room in this summer's ASID MN Showcase Home. Graphic floors are on-trend and this black and white chevron is a bold, creative move that in many hardworking rooms (think dining and messy crafts) makes so much more sense than a rug.
