The settee is one of my favorite items in the sitting room. I adore the classical detail of the art deco arms and the luxe feel of the fabric.
~ Linda Gerace- SKINNER, Allied ASID
For the master sitting room, adjacent to the master suite, interior designer Linda Gerace-Skinner envisioned a calm, peaceful place where homeowners Andy and Whitney Blessing can relax, read, meditate, and escape the demands of everyday life. After carefully planning the space so that it flows naturally and easily from the master suite, the designer looked to her own life and closet for inspiration. Because she appreciates serene, comfortable surroundings and sumptuous fabrics such as cashmere, faux fur, and leather, Gerace-Skinner combined soft-to-the-touch fabrics with a hint of bling. And, because she believes in investing wisely in a few, well-chosen pieces that express style and personality, Gerace-Skinner selected a posh art deco–inspired settee and a custom ottoman with rich chocolate leather in an organic vine pattern with nail-head trim around the sides.
