“We like the way the kitchen functions for the Blessings’ busy family, yet blends aesthetically with the historic home.”

~ Letitia little, Allied ASID

Interior designers Sheree Vincent and Letitia Little love a challenge, so when they saw the Blessings’ 320-square-foot kitchen and butler’s pantry area with four doorways and a full wall of windows, they were undaunted. They planned the two rooms for maximum functionality, creating space for a center island, a restaurant-style range with a warming shelf, wall ovens, a largescale refrigerator, a prep sink, a coffee station, a pantry, a garbage/recycling center, and plenty of storage.

To honor the historic aspects of the home, the duo included wainscoting, Victorian door and window trim, and bracket feet on the cabinets. Subway tile on the backsplash and simplified custom cabinetry with rail and stiles create a transition to today’s living, while arabesque-patterned mosaic tile and custom valances, chrome island pendants, and a hand-cutglass pendant add an exciting, modern look.
