From Minnesota Craniofacial Center
Millions of people suffer ongoing head and neck pain without ever learning the true cause or getting effective treatment. Our office is dedicated to diagnosing and treating the underlying causes of head and neck pain, including migraine, instead of medicating it into submission. The two dentists of Minnesota Craniofacial Center Midway, Dr. Roy Hakala and Dr. Kim Ledermann, are highly trained and experienced in treating disorders of the jaw joint (also known as the temporomandibular joint, or TMJ) to relieve pain.
We also treat sleep breathing disorders such as snoring and obstructive sleep apnea, which are often deeply involved in chronic pain. People who snore every night have, on average, over two hundred headaches per year. Those with obstructive sleep apnea are at risk of many major disorders, including high blood pressure, gastric reflux, diabetes, and emotional problems such as anxiety, irritability, and depression. We reduce the risks of these problems by treating sleep disorders with appliances for patients to wear while they sleep. These appliances are a comfortable, portable alternative to C-PAP treatment.
Insurance Providers Accepted:
We're participating providers of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, HealthPartners, and Medica. We also work with other insurance companies as an out-of-network provider and will prior-authorize treatment as needed. In addition, we are a Medicare provider. We are the only office in the Twin Cities that is a certified DME provider for sleep apnea and snoring appliances through Medicare.
