Well, we decided to check in on the dark-horse winners of last year’s Street Eat Awards
and see what’s cooking. The truck was busy in downtown when we stopped by and snacked on a few sandwiches. The shrimp and pork patty sandwich was as richly flavored and tasty as last year, as were the piping hot and meaty pork egg rolls. But the new winner was a well-seasoned and crispy fried chicken sandwich with lime slaw on a perfectly buttery toasted bun. Win.
