Brothers Andrew and Chris Ikeda left their home state for the warmer climes of Hawaii and Napa. Cooking in big hotels for big kahunas has left a mark on the chefs, one that is evident on their menu at Lake & Irving, the restaurant they’ve come home to open. In the former Blue Sky Creamery, which has been overhauled into a red-oak-tinged tavern, there’s a playful mash of international, Asian-influenced, and Midwest-modern dishes that seems an exciting development from these old newcomers, these prodigal sons. 1513 W.
