Are you breathlessly waiting for Russell and Desta Klein’s new project to open in Minneapolis? Brasserie Zentral, the Austrian/Central European eatery from the duo behind Meritage, will debut in the Soo Line building in a matter of days.

We dropped in during training and got a sneak peek tour from the chef. The space is warm and cozy, with just a dash of opulence, and the kitchen has a traditional European center island stove that will be the envy of cooks around town. Take a look:

Brasserie Zentral has begun taking reservations for April 21. Foreign Legion, the neighboring wine/cheese bar, is under construction, but will open at a later date. The other pieces to the project, including an off-sale wine shop and a skyway level cafe will open later, as things get rolling.
