Borough and Parlour

Borough And Parlour

The North Loop is seriously making a bid for food neighborhood of the year in my book. It has The Bachelor Farmer, Fulton Brewing, Local D’Lish, and Bar La Grassa among the cobblestone streets and soaring warehouse lofts, and now it has Borough. Opened kitty-corner from Be’Wiched and across from Bunkers, this new joint claims two former Travail chefs working in collaboration on an innovative menu. While the food is finely crafted with cool ingredients, the place is casual and neighborhoody, furthering the new world of dining in which stuffiness has been banished from fine food forever. Furthering the new world of drinking, the basement bar is known as Parlour and serves craft cocktails with a Mad Men vibe. A first in the local basement bar trend, this one has gorgeous street-side windows and an easy entrance, furthering the new world of your barkeep waving you in from the street. 730 Washington Ave., Mpls., 612-354-3135,boroughmpls.com
