North Loop: What's Next for the Twin Cities' Hippest 'Hood

Five years ago, North Loop was just the periphery of the Warehouse District. Now, that pocket along Washington Avenue just north of downtown has a name all its own and a Forbes ranking as one of America’s Best Hipster Neighborhoods. The North Loop has become the creative epicenter of the city. It’s the fastest growing neighborhood in Minneapolis—the place where ad agencies and businesses of all kinds want to relocate, where both young professionals and empty nesters want to live, and everybody wants to be: Eating at evocative restaurants. Drinking whiskey at the coolest bars. Shopping at inventive boutiques that have garnered national attention from the likes of Esquire, GQ, and the Wall Street Journal. How did this happen? Why did this happen? And what comes next?
