Visitation is an independent, Catholic school for students in Montessori preschool through grade 12, for boys and girls in Montessori through grade 6, and a college preparatory school for young women in grades seven through twelve.

100% of Visitation graduates go on to college or university. Last year, the average SAT score was 30% higher and the average ACT score 33% higher than the national average.

In Visitation’s Lower School, class sizes are kept small to provide individualized instruction and attention, so each child is able to develop to his or her highest potential.

Our sixth grade, Gateway Year, is coed, and students transition to the single-gender environments at either Visitation or Saint Thomas Academy, which is all-boys in grades 7-12.

At Visitation, sports programs are available to students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Teams and individuals have won numerous section, conference and state championships.

Founded in 1873, Visitation School, located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, is an independent Catholic day school for boys and girls in Montessori preschool through sixth grade and a Catholic, college preparatory school for young women in grades seven through twelve. Visitation also offers a child care program, using age-appropriate curricula to help children grow in their love of learning. Following the teachings of Saints Francis de Sales and Jane de Chantal, Visitation encourages the Salesian attributes of gentle strength, thoughtfulness, and joyful optimism.
