From top to bottom and front to back, navigating your home should be a cohesive journey. Be inspired by these Twin Cities projects that have it all mapped out. Then, shop for your home and find a pro to put it all together.
Originally designed by University of Minnesota architecture professor Robert Bliss, this residence is a significant example of mid-century modern architecture.
Surrounded by 14 early-20th century summer cottages, the clients were respecting the existing architectural style of historic Crane Island.
With their children now grown, the clients chose to transform their Golden Valley backyard play structures into a three-season pavilion.
A neglected 1924 Mediterranean Revival duplex was brought back to life with a sustainable twist.
This client’s new home was built to showcase its scenic surroundings. Rooms are interconnected for a casual, modern floor plan that takes advantage of summer breezes and sweeping lake views.
Modern architecture tends to garner no shortage of opinions. The fabulous “Gateway Home”, was the first modern structure on Minneapolis’s historic Lake of the Isles.
