  • LEED Led Summit Splendor, St. Paul
    2012 RAVE Award Winner
Complete interior and exterior renovation of a 1924 Mediterranean style duplex. The Owners’ commitment to restoration in an environmentally sustainable manner resulted in LEED Platinum certification. With oversight from the City of St. Paul Heritage Preservation Commission, the original character of the home was preserved including a stucco finish, clay tile roof, copper dormers, and front terrace with balustrade.
  • Walnut floors and period millwork grace the first floor of the home, while the second floor residents opted for a contemporary design incorporating stainless steel, stone, ceramic and glass tile.

  • Mount Curve Mid-Century, Minneapolis
    2012 RAVE Award Winner
Restoration of a 1961 design by architect Robert L. Bliss. The remodel was a collaboration of old and new encompassing the original mid-century detailing of the home with new imported Valcucine cabinetry.
  • Soapstone countertops, combined with new millwork and additional cabinetry provided by Ingrained Wood Studios, provides an artful complement to the sleek modern design envisioned by the architects of yesterday and today.

  • Crane Island Cabin, Minnetrista
    2012 RAVE Award Winner
A beautiful island is the setting for this fine home on Lake Minnetonka. Due to Minnesota’s ever changing weather conditions, creative solutions were required for the delivery of building materials and transportation of workers.
  • Reflective of a north woods retreat, all interior surfaces are wood including pine paneling on the walls and ceilings and ash flooring throughout. Baltic birch wall and ceiling paneling in the bunkhouse provides an elegant contrast along with hickory countertops, shelves, and stairs within the home.

  • Lake of the Isles Perch, Minneapolis
Years of neglect were transformed into splendid beauty with a view. Although maintaining the essential character of the home built in the early part of the twentieth century, the architect provided additional space and reoriented interior views towards the lake. The design involved a total interior and exterior renovation including mechanical systems. Cedar shake siding and roofing reinforce the home’s Dutch Colonial heritage.
  • Maple and birch hardwood floors, stone countertops, marble and ceramic tile along with painted cabinetry complete the interior transformation.
    Architecture by Laurel Ulland Architecture
  • All of the exterior components for the addition were fabricated by Ingrained Wood Studios to closely match the original home, and were carefully crafted from old-growth Douglas Fir using a band saw. Not merely decorative, the rafter tails are structural, carrying the weight of the house’s eaves.

  • Lakeside Remodel, Deephaven
Extensive restoration and enhancement of a turn-of-the century home on Lake Minnetonka. Exquisite design and craftsmanship are employed throughout the interior and exterior of the house and its addition.
