Growing up in an all-girl household with my mom and sister, Meredith, I’m pretty accustomed to all things “girly.” I have come to love all that goes on when the three of us are together. In fact, some of my favorite memories are from our movie nights, which we’ve been doing since I was in my early teens. We usually choose from a select few of our favorite “classics” (First Wives Club, Lemony Snickets, Practical Magic, and Home Alone) and laugh at the funny lines we know are coming. Snacks are always a must—popcorn and Sour Patch Kids—and we usually wear matching pajamas. Because Meredith and I rarely live in Minnesota at the same time (I just moved home after 10 years in New York and she was recently transferred from Minneapolis to Winnipeg), these girls’ nights can usually only take place around the holidays when we are both home. So when my mom asked if we wanted to have one last “hurrah” before my wedding, we both immediately cleared our calendars and prepared for our favorite kind of weekend—a weekend at Angie’s!
