EcoArts Festival: Spirit of the Mississippi River @ Harriet Island
Saturday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
It’s an outdoor celebration of our Twin Cities’ greatest natural resource, the Mighty Mississippi. Check out environmental displays and performances throughout the day, and then let the kids get crafty with a variety of hands-on art activities.
Rock the Barn @ Dodge Nature Center
Saturday 3 p.m. – 8 p.m.
With live entertainment, pony rides, barn tours, and an epic bake sale, this annual farm and musical festival is fun for the whole fam.
Adults $8, kids ages 3-16 $4, kids ages 2 and younger free
Target Free Third Sunday @ Minnesota Children’s Museum
Sunday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Brew up your own thunderstorm, crawl through a human-sized anthill, explore a dinosaur-era volcano and a cranberry bog, race boats down a water course, and finish it off with a splash-fest in the soapy bubble station (pictured above). Words to the wise: bring an extra shirt.
