Feast your eyes on 10,000 tulips in the Sunken Garden (pictured above), enjoy story time, make your own flower-themed crafts to take home, and more. Free!
It’s an up-close-and-personal look at how spring springs. Peer through a microscope to examine emerging roots and shoots, make a sprout snack in the Harvest Kitchen, design your own seed pictures, and plant seeds to take home and set on a sunny windowsill. Free with Arboretum admission: adults $12, kids 12 and younger free.

Saturday 9 a.m.–9 p.m., Sunday 12–6 p.m. (Daily through April 6)
Macy’s 8th floor is a family photo op gold mine, with trees, flowers, benches, and water features galore. It smells heavenly in there. Oh, and it’s 72 degrees. Bliss! Free!

Kids’ Choice Awards Screening Party @ Mall of America Rotunda

Consider it an Oscars party for kids. See who takes home a Blimpie at this (extremely large and incredibly close) screening of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. There will be refreshments, and one lucky kid will be slimed live onstage. Free!
