Seven Sushi and Steakhouse has filed Chapter 11, according to the Business Journal. It remains open while management is "reorganizing" the company. Indeed, the popular rooftop deck is hosting an opening celebration on May 7th.
The MARKETS are open! Both the St. Paul Farmers' Market and the Minneapolis Farmers Market open this weekend. Pickings may be sparse, you should be looking for wild ramps, but it will be great to get out with other fresh-minded folks and bump around the stalls, won't it?

It's the summer of the beer. I'm calling it. Kick it off on May 16th at the Beer Dabbler Showcase in Burnsville. This touring festival features more than 150 beer to sample, live music, and snacks for $25. Among the taps will be local heroes Summit, Finnegan's, Schell, Flat Earth, Rush River, Barley John's, and Cold Spring Brewery. If you can't make Burnsville (you'll miss the effervescent E.L.nO.), the showcase will be back later this summer in Woodbury, Stillwater, and at Highland Fest.
