You may not have met your beau a la The Bachelor/Bachelorette, but that doesn't mean you aren't entitled to a romantic on-screen wedding just like Trista and Ryan. Lucky for you, Twin Cities Live has joined forces with a handful of local vendors in search of one local couple whose wedding will be televised.
TCL has collaborated with a dozen vendors in the metro to put together a $20,000 wedding package dubbed "42 to Say I Do." One lucky couple will win everything they need to plan their walk down the aisle, including a wedding and reception at the Minneapolis Marriott Northwest, tuxes from Heimie's Haberdashery, a gown and bridesmaid dresses from Flutter Bridal Boutique, invitations from Pear Tree Greetings, wedding bands from Allure by Greaton's Jewelers, flowers from Sweet Pea's Floral, hair and makeup services for the entire bridal party from New Reflections Salon, photography by Studio 220, a cake from Dorothy Ann Bakery, a DJ from Adagio Djay Entertainment, a photo booth for the reception from Viral Booth of Minnesota, and a two-night honeymoon at Grand View Lodge.
But here's the catch: You and your fiance must get married in less than two months!
"We love a good story on TCL and we know there are so many unique, amazing couples in Minnesota. We want to find that special couple and get them to the altar in just 42 days," says Mandy Tadych, executive producer of TCL, which launched the contest last Thursday.
Still interested? Submit a short video of your love story—how you two met, how you fell in love, how he proposed—to TCL by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 26. That's right—you have less than one week. So get crackin'!
Three finalists will be announced during the show on Friday, May 30, followed by online voting through June 5. The winning couple will be announced on June 6. From there, it will be a wedding whirlwind, as the bride and groom prep for their July 18 nuptials.
