On Sunday, brides-to-be, mothers, vendors, and the occasional reluctant fiancé packed into the St. Paul RiverCentre for the Twin Cities Bridal Show. Among the tablescapes, flower arrangements, and cake samples, Mpls.St.Paul Weddings was there, notebook in hand. So if you weren’t able to make it to the show, read up—we have wedding trends for 2014:
Wedding Gowns: The Princess Kate dress hysteria must have passed since her 2011 wedding to Prince William, because none of the dresses during the 30-minute Aisle of Style fashion show boasted anything longer than a cap sleeve. Models flaunted a variety of designs from Mestads, Angelique’s Bridal Salon, Luxe Bridal Couture, The Wedding Shoppe, and Savvi Formalwear, with lace and sparkle as the dominant themes on the runway.
