Last January, St. Paul was crowned North America’s “Most Romantic Getaway” by USA Today. Now, the city is tasked with the challenge of establishing a true love connection between two lucky singles. The “Chance for Romance” contest aims to match 20 singles from 20 states, via celebrity matchmaker Kailen Rosenberg, and have one of these couples flown to St. Paul for a romantic trial weekend in Twin Cities paradise.
After the 10 couples have been matched, the public will vote and decide which one will win the getaway. The duo will stay at The Saint Paul Hotel and The New Victorian Mansion Bed & Breakfast, dine at W.A. Frost and the Highland Grill, watch a Minnesota Wild game at the X, and take in a show at the Ordway. There’s also beer sampling at Summit and a yoga class at the Union Depot, plus stops at other St. Paul hotspots.
Does this “Chance for Romance” sound like the opportunity you’ve been waiting for? (Beer, yoga, love—what further convincing do you need?) Enter the contest by submitting a two-minute video and filling out a questionnaire, explaining why you deserve this shot at love by TOMORROW! Rosenberg will then match the 10 couples, and voting on a favorite will take place Oct. 1-15. The final couple will fly to St. Paul for the weekend of their dreams Oct. 31-Nov. 2. Talk about a whirlwind romance!
