The old Loring Café used to be the hippest place in town, so it’s a bit ironic that the Loring Pasta Bar—owner Jason McLean’s post-café establishment in Dinkytown—has become the go-to place for couples who want to practice their salsa and tango moves. After 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, the Salsa Police (with DJ Omari Omari) provide the grooves, and Sunday is tango night with Mandragora Tango. The dance floor gets plenty of action during the dinner hour too. Can you think of a better way to burn those carbs?
