With so many other genres of music locally grown in the TC, it's easy to miss that our bars and clubs—even corporate events—also support a thriving DJ scene. And though anyone with an ipod can call themselves a DJ, Plain Ole Bill is by far and away our city’s most indispensable turntable instrumentalist. Bill, one part of the Get Cryphy team, not only programs the non-stop, booty-shaking jams at a variety of dance nights, and even bringing the backing tracks for the likes of rappers P.O.S. and Astronautalis, he also won't play those party-stopper requests you make after too many drinks—a true sign of a gifted DJ.
