Marvel’s head bartender Pip Hanson spent five years in Japan studying the art of cocktail-making the way other people study religion. Cocktail perfection is his goal, and Marvel is both his lab and sanctuary. There, he crafts a limited selection of classic cocktails and originals—with premium and exotic liquors, sculptor’s ice, housemade emulsions and bitters—and prepares each one with an attention detail usually reserved for things like sacred tea ceremonies and classical concertos. But ever drink, no matter how amazing, needs a drinker. That where you come in.
