Internships may be available in the following areas: editorial, sales and marketing, event planning, accounting, circulation, and IS. At this time we do not offer any internship programs for high school seniors.
Internships are available year-round in the editorial department of MSP Communications, which publishes Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and multiple custom publications, including Delta Sky magazine, Independent Banker, Viking magazine, and more.
Job Description: The paid position is about 30 hours per week and involves fact checking, participating in staff meetings and projects, writing, and editing for Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, Mpls.St.Paul Weddings, Mpls.St.Paul Home & Design, and mspmag.com. Interns finesse research and reporting/editing skills and get an inside look at the workings of a monthly publication.
Start Dates: We offer two internship programs—winter/spring (January through June) and summer/fall (June through January). There is some flexibility in the starting and ending dates based on the magazine production schedule.
Requirements: Candidate must be pursuing or have graduated with an English/ journalism/communications major or minor, or have related experience. Eagerness, a willingness to learn, and an interest in magazines is a must. Experience at a student publication or other publications is helpful, but not required.

Part-time internships are available year-round in the digital media department of MSP Communications, which produces Mpls.St.Paul Magazine’s mspmag.com and Twin Cities Business’s tcbmag.com, in addition to several custom websites.
Job Description: The paid position ($8/hour) involves writing teases and keywords, optimizing and creating images, beta testing functionality of new rollouts, and stripping and loading articles in a content management system. Video editing and production experience a plus. Interns will participate in staff meetings and projects and get an inside look at the workings of daily produced websites.
Start Dates: Vary, depending on internship. Internships are generally 25 hours a week and can last anywhere from 3-6 months.
Requirements: Eagerness, willingness to learn, and interest in online media; web editing, production, and/or design experience is helpful.
